phpAPRS

phpAPRS is an (early) implementation of the APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) in PHP. It is intended for use by Amateur Radio Operators and Organizations.

phpAPRS was written by Matthew Asham of the British Columbia Wireless Network Society and is used by the Society for various information gathering and notification systems. A reference utility powered by phpAPRS is the WIFIFRED Information Robot, available via APRS as "WIFIFRED" or "VA7BCW-7".

• BCWNS_APRS base class - implements the core APRS class with message handling
• BCWNS_APRS_BasePacket class - implements tbe BasePacket class for defining APRS message types

• BCWNS_APRS_Message - implements the APRS message type packet
• BCWNS_APRS_Position - implements the APRS position type packet
• BCWNS_APRS_Item - implements the APRS item type packet

Roadmap:

• Implement compressed coordinates and time functions
• Implement various other APRS message types
• Implement TNC support? (probably not)
